Italian Street Portraits

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be in the warm and sunny Tuscan region of Italy. Id been attending a two day Bridal and Feminine Beauty Workshop with Damien Lovegrove and Chris Hanley.

Having been photographing Weddings for 18 years and 5 years full time I was so pleased to see what i could do in a foriegn country and with a new exciting enviroment.

The second morning of the workshop found us in the streets around the Villa, a beautifully quiet hilltop Castello with narrow streets and very crumbly walls! But oh what colours!

Carolina was our model, she had also been our Weddings model the day previous. I had managed to create great rapport with her and produce some beautiful smiley happy shots, but today it was a more fashion led shoot so I had to calm it down and capture a slighty edgier style.

The following Images are the results of a truely wonderful shoot!

7 and 10 are my real favourites. In number 10 Chris had gone up high to shoot over the railings, where i had decided that I wanted to use the railings to add some drama and abstract lines to the image as if to frame Carolina. There are more images to edit and will be posting soon!
