An Art Deco Palace, was the setting for Anne and Bills small and intimate wedding.
Burgh Island Hotel in South Devon hosted last weekends wedding, situated as it sounds on a small island off the South Devon Coast, Burgh Island Hotel was built in the 1920s and is an amazing example of all things Art Deco.
At the rear of the hotel is the Stern of HMS Ganges, built into the wall over looking the sea beyond. It was in the Ganges that Anne and Bill tied the knot, a very small wedding in a wonderful setting. After the ceremony and photos we all sat down for afternoon tea and a little speech from Bill. The evening started in the cocktail lounge before heading into the Ball Room for the famous Burgh Island Dinner and Dance!
Photo opportunities galore, you'll see themm at the edge of the Mermaid Pool, a tidal sea water lagoon nestled between the cliffs, in the Peacock Lounge, so called because of the amazing Stained Glass ceiling and also about the the Island and the beach below.
It was a great day, and considering how cold and awful the weather had been, the sun shone all day and was sinply "Heaven in Devon"
Make up and hair was supplied by Rachel Gaunt and Jody, flowers by Lisa Davis - Studio Flowers, accessories were made by Jo Barnes and amazing Wedding Welly Boots by Weddingtons!
