The Oak Barn and The Ivory Secret!

Here it is at last! Last weeks Bridal shoot at the beautiful mid Devon venue, The Oak Barn, complete with it marriage license and pretty little church next door.
The dresses were supplied by Eleanor rafferty of The Ivory Secret, Crediton. not only did she bring beautiful dresses, but she bought 2 of her own designs along too. I instantly took a shine to these as they are truely different to anything I have seen before. i have a personal interst in creating a shoot one day based on the pre - raphalites and these certainly would fit the bill, very dreamy, very romantic indeed.

We had a helper on set during the day, the owners cat! Lola!
Love these images using the Oak tree from where the venue takes its name. Also what better than an Eleanor Rafferty dress to compliment the look.
Add in a Groom, Sam who was on the land next door collecting logs! I'd been saying we needed a groom! And we found one, after the owner lent him a suit, and a few pegs to make it fit!
Eleanor was on hand to help with my lighting ideas. Here we used this archway to create some stunning shots, by placing the speedlight behind our models head.
Fantastic lush green gardens after the mornings drizzle, and our smiling Bride.
Very elegant, this pretty little church door way, the dress and the head piece, what a great combination!
Another stunning Eleanor rafferty dress, and Sam's back with a different Bride! i loved this old fence and gate leading from the church. And the way holly leans against the Arched doorway completes this dreamy set.

The dresses were simply stunning, and by using creative lighting i wanted to capture the way they fall, and the sheen of the material. Again Eleanors dresses just add something different to the images.
And here's Beth, the daughter of Katharine and John, the owners of The Oak Barn. When I arrived she wasnt actually one of the models, but with a little encouragement here she is! And she loved it! Lounging on the sofa in the mezzanine floor of the Oak Barn, comllete with wood burner for thoose cozy winter days. And looking out across the Barn with its beautiful roof timbers, creating the perfect setting for your Country Wedding.

I really cant wait to work with Eleanors dresses again! They are just so beautiful, Im already thinking, Woods, Forets, Rays of sun, mist.....................................................
