As soon as I met Alison at a local Wedding Fair, I knew this was going to be a wedding full of love but so full of FUN!
Alison has such a love for life and enjoys every second. Eric is calmer! French and has a very cheeky look in his eye, this added to Alisons bubbly nature meant they were eager to be photographed and they certainly bring out the best in eachother.
The Pre Wedding shoot was photographed in and around Dartmouth, where the couple live.That was a cold spring day, the wedding on the other had was on a lovely warm and sunny autumnal day, the reception being held at one of my all time favourite venues, Datington Hall.
Dartington Hall is steeped in history, and has an amazingly relaxed atmosphere and stunning grounds.
I had visited Ali's parents house the night before, where her dad had shown me his pride and joy, his beloved Vespa. He'd mention he wanted a photo of Ali on it in her dress, well of course that was far to simple for me, so I set about a plan.....
Upon leaving the church I asked dad to go home to fetch the Vespa and meet us at another Lytch Gate just up the road, here we were able to produce a lovely set of images using the Vespa while the guests headed to the reception. I think they really worked well, and far better than Ali sat on it on the drive!
The day was excellent and after the Wedding Breakfast we headed off across the grounds of Dartington Hall for the romantic shots you'll see below....
