John and Liz had a fantastic day for their wedding on the 31st May. They live in Postbridge, high up on Dartmoor and had chosen the very beautiful Hotel Endsleigh as their base for the weekend.
As the ceremony was in Postbridge Church at 11.15 I made the very early start to get to Hotel Endsleigh for 7.15! Bridal prep photos and detail shots done, it was off with the Groom and his men to the church for 10.15!
Guests arrived by coach and the whole wedding was a fantastic celebration of this long awaited day. With group photos being taken at the Church it was back on the coach to Hotel Endsleigh for Champagne and Canapes. Liz had so many guests from many parts of the country and the world that we had a list of people she, John and her parents wanted to be photographed with, these were done in glorious sunshine on the lawns, nice and simple and fun, and that's what we did!
The wedding breakfast was held in the old stable block, beautifully seated around one huge table. The atmosphere was wonderful, sunshine, bird song and the smell of the logs burning in the fire pit in the courtyard.
After the breakfast we walked through the grounds and photographed the couple in the Shell House and on the Parterre, the evening sun led to some very romantic shots, and after all this it was time for the first dance, the sunset and to pack up!
