Kate and Dan - A December Wedding At Polhawn Fort, Cornwall

When Kate and Dan booked me to photograph their Wedding it was because they loved their Venue so much they knew I'd deliver something a little different for them!

The venue was to be Polhawn Fort in South East Cornwall. Built during the Napoleonic War, this magnificent Granite Block of a building nestles into the cliffs over looking Whitsand Bay.

Best known for its outdoor summer weddings, I always knew an indoor December Wedding was going to be challenging, the only windows are where the canons used to look out through, so very small and very deep!

Kate mentioned that the venue was chosen due to the stunning interior, granite walls and red brick vaulted ceilings.

The ideas Kate had in mind was to use as much of the interior as possible, as, as stunning as the coast is she lives near Salcombe and is spoilt to be used to such scenery!

So with Nikon Speedlights at the ready and some neat ideas after the original viewong of the venue the week before we set out to capture this very lovely intimate Winter Wedding.

Enjoy.......
